10 day’s Namibia

N$25,550.00 per person sharing

Day 1+2: Omandumba - Distance 150km

The Living Museum gives visitors an interesting insight into their traditional culture and the original way of San living. It is an educational institute - a combination of school and museum - where guests may interact in the activities as the Ju/Hoansi show their skills in arrow making and arrow shooting, learn how to make fire, jewellery and traditional medicine. Visitors may join them on a hunting or gathering trip and experience their songs and tribal dances. It will be a day to remember!

Omandumba’s accommodation is very basic. The family owned farm is personal and I am sure the kids will enjoy the interacting with the Bushmen people and will find their uncomplicated lifestyle and culture very interesting.

Besides the living museum they offer tours to the engravings and rock paintings, walking trails and game drives.

Activities optional: Living museum, game drives, rock painting exacta.

Omandumba: 2 x Overnight on full board basis

Day 3+4+5 - Entertainment Centre - Distance 230 km

The Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre is a centrally positioned four-star hotel. It is built in and around the old Station Building in Swakopmund and dates back to 1901. After extensive renovations, it has been restored to its former Victorian glory, and has been opened as one of the towns premier hotel's since the end of 1994. The hotel boast of it's 'combined architectural beauty with first-world comfort
• Restaurant, swimmingpool, laundry, en-suite rooms, TV, coffe/tea, safe
• Activity: Catamaran cruise, sandwich harbour 4x4 trip, living desert tour, quad biking, fishing, skydiving

Today this stylish, up market hotel complex is undoubtedly Swakopmund's most splendid facility. The pool area is a sparkling blue oasis amongst palm trees, fountains and furniture made to laze on in unadulterated comfort, offering welcome respite from the heat of the Namib Desert.

Activities optional: Catamaran cruise, Living Desert Tour, Sand boarding and many more.

• Entertainment Centre: 3 x overnight on bed and breakfast basis

Day 6+7+8 - Kulala Desert Lodge - Distance 300 km

On your route to Kulala Desert Lodge a stop at Solitair is worthwhile. Solitair is a small settlement and has a fuel station which is manned daylight hours and the provisions shop opens until quite late. It's here that you might catch a glimpse of Big-Moose who bakes the 'Moose Bread' and the renowned apple crumble.

Activities Optional: Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and sesriem Canyon - Sesriem Canyon, on the Tsauchab River, gets its name from the days when the early travelers needed to draw water from the river in the canyon and, because of its depth, tied six leather thongs together, fastened a bucket to the end and lowered it to the pools below. In Afrikaans “ses is six and “riem” is the name for the leather thongs; hence Sesriem

The setting of the Kulala Desert Lodge and proximity to the red desert dunes, literally only a few steps away, make this lodge an ideal desert destination. It also has it's own gate into the Namib Naukluft Park, which leads to the popular dunes of Sossusvlei and the Sesriem Canyon. This makes the sunrise trip less arduous, and gives guests more time to enjoy the solitude and beauty of the occasion.ocation: Activities optional: Nature drives and walks, ballooning, visit to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei

Kulala Desert Lodge: 3 x overnight on dinner, bed and breakfast basis
