Camp Moremi in the Okavango Delta – Botswana

You will fly with Air Namibia and depart from the International Airport (Hosea Kutako Airport). Flying time to Maun about 1½ hours.

Upon arrival at Maun Airport, a light aircraft will transfer you from Maun Airport to Camp Moremi.

Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon, in the eastern extremity of the Okavango Delta and within the Moremi Game Reserve. Here Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and welcoming animal sanctuaries in all Africa. This varied habitat attracts and supports a diversity of wildlife that is unrivalled, with possible sightings of Wild Dog, Cheetah, Leopard, Lion, Elephant and Buffalo. Resident naturalist guides conduct the daily game drives, and birding in this region is excellent.
Of particular interest are the heronries at Gadikwe Lagoon that may be visited on powerboat excursions. The elevated Moremi Tree Lodge is the focal point of the camp and houses the main lounge, a wildlife reference library, the dining room and cocktail bar, all shaded by giant ebony trees and overlooking the Okavango Delta’s Xakanaxa Lagoon. Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in beautifully furnished East African style safari tents with private facilities.

Other lodge facilities include a sundeck, plunge pool, covered Boma and an elevated game-viewing platform at the waters edge, affording great views over the lagoon - the perfect spot for sundowners. Tracking game on morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles is a highlight.

  •  Most safari camps and lodges include two game activities a day in their tariff (one in the morning and the other in the afternoon). A private vehicle and guide can be booked, at an additional cost, for extra activities (or special interest activities). Please advise if you would like additional information on this service;

  •  Services of the lodge guides and staff;

  •  Relevant park fees;

  •  Drinks as specified – drink inclusions may differ between camps/lodges;

  •  Laundry can be done at most camps/lodges and hotels. In some cases this is included in the tariff quoted.

  •  Air transfers as specified;

  •  Accommodation taxes, the applicable Tourism Levies and all relevant Value Added Tax (VAT) or Government Sales Tax (GST).

  •  Any new Government taxes, levies, fuel or industry increases which are beyond our control;

  •  Visa fees where relevant. If a visa payment is required, then this must be made in US Dollars cash. Change is often not provided and so the exact amounts payable are required. Traveller's cheques and credit cards are not accepted for this purpose.

  •  International airport departure taxes applicable from manned airports only, which is to be paid in US$ cash on departure unless included in your ticket cost;

  •  Zambian international airport departure tax of US$25 per person and US$8 Domestic departure tax per person (applicable at manned airports only), to be paid in US$ cash on departure;

  •  Any items of a personal nature.
