Santawani Camp in the Okavango Delta – Botswana

You will fly with Air Namibia and depart from the International Airport ( Hosea Kutako Airport ). Flying time to Maun about 1½ hours.

Day 1
Upon arrival at Maun Airport you will be met by a representative of Delta Air in the Arrivals Hall. He will assist you with your luggage, and then show you to the light aircraft for your charter flight to Santawani Camp. This flight will take around 25 minutes, and provides you with amazing views of the Okavango Delta itself.

Guests are accommodated in six chalets, of which has twin beds, and an en suite bathroom.

Days 2 - 4
Santawani is a classic camp, with the emphasis on game drives. Not only do guests enjoy extensive game viewing in the early mornings and late afternoons, but you also have the chance to enjoy night drives - which are only possible on private concessions. The night drive allows guests the chance of seeing the surprisingly diverse nocturnally active species something which give a whole new dimension to the Safari experience.

The Camp enjoys a setting in a diverse area there is an abundance of acacia, combretum and sausage trees, but as there is also access to the Gomoti River, you get the addition of the classics of the Okavango - palm trees, and allied riverine species which aids in making birding all the more rewarding.

Day 5
After your morning safari and a hearty breakfast, you will board a light aircraft for your return flight to Maun airport.

• Air Namibia return flight: N$3,496.00 Wdh-Maun-Wdh

A private vehicle and guide can be booked, at an additional cost, for extra activities (or special interest  activities).  Please advise if you would like additional information on this service;
•  Services of the lodge guides and staff;
•  Relevant park fees;
•  Drinks as specified – drink inclusions may differ between camps/lodges;
•  Laundry can be done at most camps/lodges and hotels. In some cases this is included in the tariff quoted.
•  Air transfers as specified;
•  Accommodation taxes, the applicable Tourism Levies and all relevant Value Added Tax (VAT) or Government Sales Tax  (GST).

•  Meals not specified in the quote such as lunch and dinner in city hotels;

•  Cancellation, baggage and medical insurance;
•  Staff gratuities;
•  Any new Government taxes, levies, fuel or industry increases which are beyond our control;
•  Visa fees where relevant. If a visa payment is required, then this must be made in US Dollars cash. Change is often not provided and so the exact amounts payable are required. Traveller's cheques and credit cards are not accepted for this purpose.
•  International airport departure taxes applicable from manned airports only, which is to be paid in US$ cash on departure unless included in your ticket cost;
•  Zambian international airport departure tax of US$25 per person and US$8 Domestic departure tax per person (applicable at manned airports only), to be paid in US$ cash on departure;
•  Any items of a personal nature.
