Day 1:Monday

Depart from Windhoek and travel north via Otjiwarongo to the Cheetah Conservation Fund to take part in a short safari.
There will be excellent photo opportunities and to learn about the fastest cats in the world. Lunch (own account) In the
afternoon proceed to the Waterberg Plateau Mountain – a table mountain with an extraordinary plant variety and permanent
fountains.

WATERBERG WILDERNESS LODGE
The buildings of Waterberg Wilderness Lodge lie sheltered in a long valley in the midst of the Waterberg massif. Built from
red Waterberg sandstone they are nestled under enormous old trees. In the mature, well-kept garden with its two pavilions
and the bricked-in spring water basin lined by giant bamboo the atmosphere is idyllic and there are many cool and shaded
spaces. They offer 8 double rooms and 2 family rooms with shower/WC, lounge area and veranda. A dining room and bar
with fireplace, tea garden, spring water swimming pool with sunbathing lawn, 220 V electricity (solar), suitable for
hairdryers, shavers, and battery chargers, laundry service (minimum stay two nights) and car cleaning (wash and vacuum).
In the afternoon guests are welcome to have a piece of cake in the tea garden, and afterwards join our guide on a scenic
drive, if they wish. The place for a drink after sunset is the campfire or the fireplace at the bar. Fresh dishes from the
typically Namibian farmhouse kitchen are served for dinner. 2

Day 2:Teusday

In the morning join an optional hike onto the Waterberg Plateau which rises about 150m from the plains. (Own account)
Alternatively you can relax at the lodge. In the afternoon join a nature drive in this privately owned Park (in open vehicles).

Day 3: Wednesday

After breakfast, travel to your Lodge in / near the Etosha National Park. Undertake a game drive into the Etosha National
Park in the late afternoon.

ETOSHA SAFARI CAMP
50 twin-bedded safari chalets nestle among Mopane trees and impart a feeling of living in the lap of African nature. Each
chalet is equipped with mosquito gauze and its own bathroom and small verandah. The Lodge is a mere 10 km away from
the Andersson gate. There is a swimming pool and walking trails.

 

Day 4: Thursday

Full day in the park exploring the various waterholes along the enormous Etosha saltpan. Except for the rainy season,
Etosha’s animals are dependant on artificial waterholes and natural springs. Lunch stop at one of the rest camps (lunch for
own account).

Day 5: Friday

Continue your journey past Outjo to your overnight lodge close to the Ugab Vingerklip (Finger Rock) situated amongst the
rugged Ugab Terraces. About 35m high this distinctive monolith has been moulded into its curious shape by erosion
spanning over many millennia.

VINGERKLIP LODGE
Nestled in the Ugab Valley lies the Vingerklip Lodge. A sheltered sundowner veranda affords breathtaking views of the
surrounding countryside and the unmatched splendor of a Namibian sunset. Gourmet cuisine complemented by fine wines,
and refreshing, locally brewed beer is served by the open fireplace in a spacious dining area.
Eleven well-appointed, thatched, double accommodation units match the atmosphere of relaxation and tranquility. For
family-style holidays, five of the 22 units offer loft accommodation for two children.




Day 6:Saturday

Visit the surrounding sights such as Petrified Forest, Organ Pipes and Rock engravings of Twyfelfontein. A cultural visit to
the Living Museum of the Damara is included and in the late afternoon return to the lodge. Lunch pack included.

Day 7:Sunday

Travel to the coast. Arrive at Swakopmund in the early afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure to explore this quaint coastal
town (unguided).

SWAKOPMUND GUESTHOUSE
Situated in the town centre, a mere five-minute walk from the beach and main shopping area. They offer four standard
rooms, seven luxury rooms and one family suite for guests wanting to indulge in a comfortable stay-over close to the ocean.
The spacious rooms are fitted with crisp, white linen sheets. Wallpaper portraying a peaceful view of the ocean adds to the
clean and neat atmosphere of the guesthouse. The en-suite bathrooms with soft cream walls are decorated with beach
pebbles that give them a unique atmosphere. All rooms come complete with minibar and television. The Swakopmund
Guesthouse is run with an eco-friendly approach, making use of solar energy and recycled water.

Day 8:Monday

Join a marine cruise from Walvis Bay. Seals and dolphins play round the boats and pelicans fly alongside offering great
photo opportunities. Visit the renowned Lagoon before heading back to the Swakopmund for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 9:Teusday

After an interesting drive through the solitaire gravel plains of the Namib Desert, arrive at your overnight lodge in the late
afternoon.
DBB - Namib Naukluft Park - preferably Hoodia Desert Camp

Day 10:Wednesday

Start early to Sossusvlei. 4x4 scenic drive into heart of the Namib Dunes. Visit Sesriem Canyon and from there return to the
lodge. Enjoy your last evening under the beautiful Namibian sky.

Day 11:Thursday

We depart after breakfast and drive through the Khomas Hochland to Windhoek where we arrive around lunch time. Your
tour ends with a drop off at any Windhoek establishment. B
